Smithereens’ lead singer Pat DiNizio recently talked with Downtown West Palm about the Smithereens’ upcoming dates with Tom Petty, his personal favorite song from “Smithereens 2011″, guitars and the 33rd anniversary of the band. Read more in this in-depth interview.
The Smithereens will be recording their follow-up album to “Smithereens 2011″ later this year, with long-time collaborator Don Dixon producing. Pat DiNizio talks about preparing for the songwriting process.

Smithereens’ drummer Dennis Diken recently chatted with New York writer Anne Raso about playing at B.B. King’s in New York City, the new Smithereens album slated for release later this year, as well as some side projects he’s working on, including an appearance on Bell Sound guitarist Chris Bolger’s upcoming release.
