September 7, 2011 marks what would’ve been Buddy Holly’s 75th birthday. It’s no secret that Pat DiNizio of the Smithereens cites Buddy Holly as one of his greatest musical influences. Listen to the Smithereens as they perform a cover of Buddy Holly’s “Well Alright” on the 101.9 WRXP radio show “Anything Anything.”

Pat DiNizio made a solo appearance on NBC10 playing an acoustic version of The Smithereens’ classic “Blood and Roses”. The Smithereens perform the National Anthem at the Phillies game Friday July 22, and also play live that night at the 2011 XPoNential Music Festival in Camden.
